American Sanders Sand & Finish Schools provide thorough hands-on training courses designed to enhance your current skill set as a wood floor craftsman. Whether you are an experienced contractor or just getting started as a sand and finish craftsman, the American Sanders training classes can help you become the best that you can be.
Some of what you will learn:
- Sanding patterns and techniques that make flatter floors
- How to clock the buffer to eliminate scratch marks
- Double style edging technique to achieve smoother edges

June 9-10, 2026 American Sanders Advanced Sand & Finish School, Hudson, NH $350 A two-day advanced sand and finish curriculum on all aspects of sanding, finishing, and exceeding customer expectations. Hosted by Specialty Forest Products. Lunch will be provided each day.
August 11 & 13, 2026 The Original American Sanders Edgers Only School, Hartford, CT $350 This industry original one-day class will cover all aspects of edging techniques and different edging scenarios, plus you will learn how to properly set up and maintain your edger for the best performance. Two classes, 1 class per day hosted by PC Wood Floors. Lunch will be provided.

The American Sanders Training Program is led by Daniel Boone. A second-generation wood floor contractor, Daniel has more than 45 years of experience in the wood floor industry. As the former Technical Director at the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), Daniel created a national curriculum for the wood flooring education program and trained over 10,000 students.
